Stars
How did we ever go this far?
You touch my hand and start the car
And for the first time in my life
I'm crying.
Are we in space? Do we belong
Someplace where no one calls it wrong
And like the stars we burn away
The miles.
How did we ever get this far?
It shouldn't have to be this hard.
Now for the first time in my life
I'm flying.
Are we in love? Do we deserve
To bear the shame of this whole world?
And like the night we camouflage
Denial.
How did we ever go this far?
You touch my hand and start the car
And for the first time in my life
I'm crying
Are we in love? Do we deserve

And like the night we camouflage

Banshee:Indivia
"What is the matter with her?"
Wraith looked up from tending Banshee's wounded face, "Nothing to worry yourself about, Indivia. Banshee knows full well what she'll have to deal with when she denies Father her lucidity." she looked out the window to see the other warriors at practice, "Are you not to be at training yourself?"
The Arabic woman gave a look of sheer boredom, "Those idiots are more interested in proving their masculinity than training." a raven brow raised, showing some interest rather than the boredom she feigned, "What do you mean, 'she denies Father her lucidity?'"
"Again, nothing to worry yourself about, Indivia."
"... Pretty... Bird?"
"Yes, old friend?" she removed her eyes from the other warrior, focusing instead upon the bruised, yet still lovely face of Banshee, "I'm here. I'm going to give you some medicine to take care of some of the pain."
"No!!!" a pale but suprisingly strong hand pushed her away, "Pretty Bird give Banshee no more poison!" Garnet-hued eyes opened, eyes that were not incredibly sane. Banshee's voice was hoarse, like sanded glass, from the screaming she'd done while in Sekhmet's chambers. "No more... please... "
Wraith sighed, "This is the healing poison you've made, Banshee, don't you remember? If you don't take it, you might fall into fevers."
"... no ..."
Indivia stood still in the dimmed room, trying not to let the small woman's actions effect her. It was hard, for some unknown reason she wanted nothing more than to help her somehow, to take all the pain away. She'd been the one to find her, before Wraith had appeared and taken Banshee off her hands. It just could not be possible that this child-like girl was the same as the wise apparition that had healed Indivia only days before. "Again the question, what is wrong with her?"
"I said-"
"I know what you said, and I know that you did not want to say that. You say nothing to protect your Father, but it is not he that needs the protection at the moment, Wraith." her eyes held Wraith's for a moment, "I know she's been raped and beaten, that is obvious... what I do not understand is why she is acting like this. When I met Banshee the other day, she did not act like this ... child-creature."
"Do. Not. Call her that." Wraith stood, her dark pony-tail swinging about, almost swiped the whimpering Banshee's face, "She's more brilliant than you or I or the Ancients! No one knows why Banshee's like this, she just is. "
can't think... brain dead... *dies, will continue later*
